Srinagar, 15 February 2025: Jammu and Kashmir’s Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Saturday said government employees dismissed over alleged mlitancy links should be given a fair chance to defend themselves.
"Everyone is innocent until proven guilty as per the law of the land. If there is sufficient evidence against the terminated employees and they are given a chance to prove their innocence but fail to do so, then the action is justified," Abdullah said, as quoted by news agency KNO.

y LG Sinha under Article 311.
Pertinently, Article 311(2)(c) of the Indian Constitution permits dismissal without an inquiry in matters concerning state security.
