Srinagar, October 1: Two men were found dead in separate incidents in central Kashmir’s Budgam and Srinagar districts, officials said.
In Budgam, a 45-year-old man was found dead near Nallah Doodganga in the Branwar area of Chadoora on Thursday.
An official said the man was found near Wani Mohalla Masjid in Branwar. He was identified as Fayaz Ahmad Wagay, 45, son of Ghulam Qadir Wagay, a resident of Hangoo Surasyar.
The body was taken for medico-legal formalities and will be handed over to the family after completion of the legal procedures, the official said.
Police have taken cognisance of the incident and further proceedings are underway.
In a separate incident in Srinagar, a 35-year-old man was found dead inside his rented accommodation in the Alikadal area on Wednesday.
According to officials, the man was found unconscious at his rented accommodation in Bodgair, Alikadal. Police reached the spot and shifted him to a hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.
The deceased was identified as Mohammad Shakoor, 35, son of Gh Hussain, a resident of Thana Mandi in Rajouri district.
Police have taken cognisance of the incident and initiated proceedings to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the deaths.
