Srinagar, Sept 16: A 58-year-old man was killed after an auto-rickshaw collided with a Venue car in the Raj Bagh area of Srinagar on the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday, officials said.
The deceased was identified as Abdullah Rehman Dar, son of Ghulam Mohammad, a resident of Beerwah in Budgam district.
According to an official, Dar sustained critical injuries in the collision and was immediately shifted to SMHS Hospital, Srinagar, for treatment.

“He was shifted to SMHS Hospital in critical condition, where doctors declared him brought dead,” the official said.
Police have taken cognisance of the incident and initiated further proceedings. Further details regarding the circumstances leading to the collision are awaited.
