Police Registers Against Islamic Seminary Teacher For Beating Student Over Dress Code

Kangan: A case has been registered against a teacher at an Islamic seminary in the Kangan area of Central Kashmirโ€™s Ganderbal district after the accused teacher beats a student for not following the dress code of the religious school.

Police said that they received a complaint from Muhammad Sadiq Chiche-resident of Wudar area in Kangan and father of the student said a teacher Reyaz Ahmad Khantana also a resident of the same area has beaten up his minor son โ€“ Bilal Ahmed โ€“ for not following the dress code (uniform) of the (religious school) Darul Uloom.

Police station Kangan took cognizance of the complaint and registered a case with FIR vide number 164/2022 under section 341,323, IPC (Indian Penal Code) 75 Justice Juvenile Act against the seminary teacher.
