Srinagar: An unidentified militant has been killed in an encounter (military operation) in the Padgampora area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on the intervening night of Monday-Tuesday which started at around 1:25 am, J&K Police said.
"Encounter has started at Padgampora Awantipora in Pulwama district. Police and security forces are on the job," Kashmir Police Zone said in a tweet.
"One terrorist killed. The body of the killed terrorist is yet to be retrieved. Encounter in progress," Police added.
