Poonch: A male individual was swept away by a flash flood in Pir Panchal region’s Poonch district on Sunday.
The deceased has been identified as Maqbool Hussain, son of Kalla Hussain and a resident of Mohalla Kannas area in Jhullas. However, his age wasn’t immediately known.
An official said that he was crossing a river along with a cattle herd when flash flood swept him away.
“Soon after the incident, a rescue operation was started by the army with assistance of the locals to locate the person”, he said adding “No trace of him has been found as of now.”
