Anantnag: The body of a 45-year-old man was found under mysterious circumstances at Verinag area of Dooru in South Kashmir’s Anantnag on Sunday morning.
The body was spotted by some passer-by near Panzoo Bridge, Verinag.
"Police was called to the site who took the body into their custody," he said.
However, Station House Officer (SHO) Dooru, Nazir Indrabi confirmed the recovery of the body and identified the deceased as Nisar Ahmad Dar, son of Late Ghulam Mohammad Dar, resident of Shamsipora.
The cause of death is being investigated, SHO said.
