Srinagar: Four people have been arrested as OGWs (Over Ground Workers) along with four hand grenades in Kashmir Capital, Srinagar.
They have been identified as Amir Rehman Dar, son of Abdul Rehman Dar, resident of Tengpura Bypass, Shahid Ahmed Mir, son of Gulzar Ahmed Mir, resident of Dangerpora Nowgam, Shamim Ahmed Chilloo son of Abdul Kareem Chiloo of Tankipora Shaheed Gunj and Zubair Sheikh of Ellahi Bagh Soura, Srinagar.
“Today evening during a check Post at Bemina chowk, one OGW namely Zubair Sheikh was intercepted, frisked and a hand grenade was recovered from his possession,” a police spokesman said in a statement.
He was immediately booked Under Sections 7/25 of Indian Arms Act & section 13 of UAPA, the statement reads.
"During questioning he revealed the names of other three OGWs who were also arrested immediately," it said.
