Srinagar, May 5 — Two persons were found dead while two others remain missing after a vehicle fell into a nallah near Chhattapani along the Mughal Road, officials said on Tuesday.
The incident occurred a day earlier when four persons travelling on the route went missing amid snowfall that rendered the road slippery.
During a search and rescue operation on Tuesday, the vehicle was traced in the stream at Chhattapani, officials said.
“Two bodies were recovered from the spot, while efforts are underway to trace the remaining two missing persons,” an official said.
The identity of the deceased is being ascertained, and further investigation is in progress.
Rescue teams continue to search the area.
