Pulwama: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has seized as many as seven immovable properties under UAPA including land measuring 19 Marlas and 84 Sqft in the Kisarigam area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
In a statement, NIA spokesperson said that the property belongs to Sartaj Ahmed Mantoo who was arrested on 31st January 2020, along with arms, ammunitions and explosives.
The statement reads that Sartaj was arrested on 31st January 2020, and several arms, ammunitions & explosives were recovered from his possession.
“He was chargesheeted on 27th July 2020, and is currently facing trial under relevant sections of Arms Act, IPC, Explosive Substances Act, UA (P) Act and Indian Wireless Telegraphy Act, 1933,” it reads.
He is accused of aiding militants in the Kashmir valley, it added.
