CHANDIGARH, 12 January 2025: Chandigarh MP Manish Tewari accused the UT administration of fostering an “undemocratic attitude,” which he claimed was responsible for several civic issues troubling Chandigarh residents.
Addressing senior leaders of the Chandigarh Pradesh Congress Committee at Congress Bhawan in Sector 35, Tewari discussed the performance of the Chandigarh municipal corporation and pressing local concerns.
He stated his determination to address the “bureaucratic inertia” hindering the administration, describing it as a consequence of their undemocratic decision-making processes.
“I have been making sincere efforts to dismantle this veil of bureaucratic inertia,” said Tewari.
He further assured residents that he would continue his efforts to ensure the administration aligns its policies with the aspirations of the people.
During the meeting, Tewari mentioned Congress party’s commitment to its electoral promises and urged party members and councillors to serve the city wholeheartedly.
HS Lucky, the local Congress unit president, stressed the need to expand booth-level committees to encourage greater public involvement in party initiatives.
