The Taliban government in Afghanistan has banned all political parties in the country saying that the concept of political parties goes against the Islamic constitution also called Sharia law.
The administration’s Justice minister announced this decision, citing that political activities and the concept of political parties go against Islamic Shariah law, South Asia Index reports.
“Under the new directives, engaging in political activities will be met with strict punishments, including imprisonment.”
